Mother's Day and Beach Week

I'm a little delayed in my posting, but last Sunday was the most special day for me. It was my very first Mother's Day! Exactly a year ago we announced our pregnancy to our family and here we are today, blessed with the most precious gift - our baby boy. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I'm thankful to have such a wonderful mom myself who has set such a great example. To celebrate the wonderful mother's we have in our lives, we had the Morrison's over for lunch on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday Brian, Clark and I had a picnic in the park and dinner at my parents house that evening. It was the perfect day!

I also did a little baking and packing on Mother's Day this year, on Monday I headed to the beach for a week with my girlfriends (sweet little babies included). We had a blast taking walks on the beach, cooking dinners, girl talk on the porch and just being together. Thanks for the good time, girls!

Laughing so hard it hurts...

You know that feeling you get when you are laughing so hard it hurts? Your cheeks start to ache and your tummy becomes tense. Occasionally a tear or two might fall because there is so much laughter! When my sisters and I get together or talk on the phone it is uncontrollable, we can't help but crack up! Thanks for giving me so many laughs Cameron and Jordan, I love ya'll!

Clark's First Easter

Baby Clark had a wonderful FIRST EASTER as we had lots to celebrate! Mom and I headed to the beach on Monday so that we could have a few extra days at the shore AND I did not want to miss the possibility of Riley's arrival! Sure enough Logan and Matt welcomed their baby girl into the world on Monday evening. Tuesday morning we were able to introduce Clark and Riley to one another....Riley - we can't wait to see you again soon!

The Easter Bunny brought lots of books, including "The Story of Easter", even though it is a children's book it is a wonderful reminder to all of us that because He LIVES, we too may LIVE!

Clark Morrison Monthly (3)

Happy 3 months to our sweet baby boy! 3 months has brought about lots of personality, I'm sure this is just a small glimpse as to what will come. Clark - we love you to the moon and back!

In Clark's Words:
-I am now rolling over, front to back mostly but I've also had one back to front occasion!
-I've discovered my feet and spend lots of time kicking my legs up trying to catch my toes.
-I'm babbling up a storm, mommy and daddy don't have a clue what i'm saying but I know what I'm talkin' about!
-At my last Dr. appt I was 12lbs and 2 oz - I imagine I'm closer to 13 lbs now
-I'm working as hard as I can to sleep through the night for mommy and daddy, I know they are really tired.
-I still love my playmat and I'm quite the wiggle worm when laying down now.

Hello Toes

Clark has discovered a new extremity! He's been staring at his toes/feet over the past week, so I figured it wouldn't be long before he figured out a way to grab a hold of them. As some of you are aware, we've been struggling in the "sleep department", the boy just loves his waketime! Here is what he was doing during naptime today instead of sleeping...

"Play Me Some Mountain Music"

A big thank you to the Yow family for having us join them in Black Mountain this past weekend. What a treat it was to enjoy a weekend getaway! We are so thankful to live in North Carolina where we can sneak away to the mountains or the beach on a whim!

Bare Foot and Fancy Free

Our weatherman has called for a high of 83 degrees today! I'm so excited for the warm weather that is on its way this week, hopefully it will stay around for a while. Although Clark isn't mobile yet, he loves being outdoors...taking in the scenery and feeling the warm air! And who doesn't love those darling springtime baby clothes?!?
