Clark Morrison Monthly (4)

Yesterday Clark turned 4 months! Today, he had his 4 month check up. He weighed 14.2 lbs and was 25 1/4 inches long. Although his birth weight was a whopping 9lbs, our baby boy is proving to be long and lean (just like his daddy). Our check up went well, Clark is growing and developing as he should....we are thankful for that. However, we are still working very hard on his sleep. Most of our appointment today was spent strategizing - if he only knew what we were talking about! We got the go ahead on giving him some rice cereal, so we had fun introducing that to him today. Hopefully (fingers crossed) we'll get some good zzzzz's soon. Clark - even though you don't like to sleep we love you so much and you bring us so much joy each and every day (and middle of the night). XOXO

In Clark's Words:
-I'm starting to sleep on my side in the crib
-I've given mommy and daddy a couple of giggles
-I'm babbling and cooing up a storm
-Still rolling front to back and back to front
-Smiling's my favorite thing to do, I'm such a happy baby
-I'd rather be awake than sleep, don't care for naps
-I'm taking 4-6oz per feeding
-I had my first bite of rice cereal today and I "think" I liked it!

Ready for some food....

Mother's Day and Beach Week

I'm a little delayed in my posting, but last Sunday was the most special day for me. It was my very first Mother's Day! Exactly a year ago we announced our pregnancy to our family and here we are today, blessed with the most precious gift - our baby boy. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I'm thankful to have such a wonderful mom myself who has set such a great example. To celebrate the wonderful mother's we have in our lives, we had the Morrison's over for lunch on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday Brian, Clark and I had a picnic in the park and dinner at my parents house that evening. It was the perfect day!

I also did a little baking and packing on Mother's Day this year, on Monday I headed to the beach for a week with my girlfriends (sweet little babies included). We had a blast taking walks on the beach, cooking dinners, girl talk on the porch and just being together. Thanks for the good time, girls!

Laughing so hard it hurts...

You know that feeling you get when you are laughing so hard it hurts? Your cheeks start to ache and your tummy becomes tense. Occasionally a tear or two might fall because there is so much laughter! When my sisters and I get together or talk on the phone it is uncontrollable, we can't help but crack up! Thanks for giving me so many laughs Cameron and Jordan, I love ya'll!
