We're ready! (Nursery Progress Part 3)

I am in my 37th week of pregnancy and both Brian and I are so excited and ready to meet our little boy. The nursery is finished (with the exception of a valance for the window that mom is going to make), the bassinet is set up in our bedroom and our bags are packed and ready to go! Now we just wait and wonder when all the excitement will take place. I had a good doctor's appointment yesterday and was even told that "I might not make it to my due date" - this was music to my ears and hopefully she is right! I'm just so anxious to hold our baby in my arms instead of my belly. For now, I'll leave you with a few nursery pictures.

Congratulations Brian!

Brian has completed his Master in Business Administration at East Carolina University. It required a lot of hardwork and dedication and I could not be more proud of him. He has finished in perfect timing to enjoy and celebrate this wonderful season and get ready to become a daddy!

We celebrated his accomplishments with a party a few days after he finished his last exam and then traveled to Greenville this past Friday, December 17, 2010 to watch him walk across the stage. Congratulations Brian!
XOXO, Jennifer

Just ONE more month!

Today has been an extra special day for me, I've never been so excited to look at a calendar. I am due in just ONE month. It has been such a jolly holiday season so far and we are counting down the days until we get to meet our little boy. We aren't sure exactly when he will join us, but we are definitely getting close. Maybe Santa will surprise us with a special Christmas present this year! In the meantime we will be making last minute trips to Babies R Us and celebrating the most wonderful time of year with family and friends.

Happy Holidays to you!

Slowly but Surely (Nursery Progress Part 2)

Our nursery is finally coming together. After waiting for what has seemed like eternity, our bedding pieces have all arrived! The crib is now ready for a little baby boy! We still have some work to do and I'm waiting on a few more items to ship, but I thought I would share of few "sneak peak" pictures.

Thanksgiving 2010 and Happy Birthday Jordan!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Morrison's!

We began our Thursday morning with the 22nd Annual Turkey Trot (a first for our clan). Baby Morrison and I cheered on the runners from the sidelines. It was a great start to Thanksgiving day. We ate lots of yummy food, took a walk on the Greenway and vegged out by the fire for the rest of the day - we were "thankful" to relax and spend time with family! We also celebrated little Jordy's birthday on Thanksgiving this year, it only happens once in a while, but it is fun to all be together and celebrate!

Tis the season everyone!

Showered with lots and lots of love!

I've said it before, but I'll say it again...I'm so thankful for my wonderful family and friends. We were showered with lots and lots of love this past Saturday. Logan, Jan, Aunt Cheryl, Cameron, Jordan and Laura put together a beautiful party for me and baby. It was truly a perfect afternoon and I am so gracious for all their time and energy that went into planning this special day! Thank you, girls! XOXO

A day at Carter Finley (30 weeks and counting)!

Is football season really almost over? Our last home game was held this past Saturday and we had a great tailgate with friends and family. The wolfpack pulled out a big win over Wake Forest! Here are a few weekend photos:

AND a BIG CONGRATS to Leslie and Zack on their engagement! Leslie - we loved being able to see you in person this weekend to do a little celebrating. Best of luck as the planning begins :)

Just the two of us...

This past weekend, we were able to sneak away for a little getaway in the mountains. We have been wanting to take time to spend together "just the two of us" before our little one gets here and so we loaded up the truck and headed to Blowing Rock. We stayed at a quaint little inn off Main Street and enjoyed a fun and relaxing weekend together. It was cold, but we loved every second of it!

Friday night we were greeted with snow! It was so beautiful to see the white flakes coming down.

I sure am glad I have my "Monkeyman Fleece" - its the only jacket that actually fits me these days. It kept me nice and cozy as we strolled Bass Lake with hot cider.

We had the most wonderful meals, walked around town and I even got a prenatal massage (while Brian caught the NCSU/Clemson game). It was heavenly and worth every penny. While it was fun "just the two of us" we look forward to becoming a family of 3!
