An exciting start to the season of Fall!

It's been a busy start to the season of Fall, but we are loving every minute of it.

At the beginning of last week one of my dear friends had her baby girl! We are so happy for the Roberson family of 3. Leighton Dare was born on Monday, September 20th. I have not met her yet, but from the pictures I've seen, she is just darlin'. Congrats to the Roberson's!

Secondly, the Yow's celebrated Walker's 1st birthday this past weekend. We have known Walker since he was born and just love being able to spend time with him and watch as he grows. It seems like just yesterday we were holding this sweet little boy in our arms as a newborn:


And finally, this past weekend we drove down to Atlanta to spend the weekend with the Sullivan's. We all met up for the GA Tech/NC State game. We haven't seen Logan and Matt since last April so the weekend was spent enjoying each other's company and cheering on the Pack (well,Brian and I were cheering on the Pack)! Thank you Matt and Logan for inviting us - it was a blast! We love ya'll!

Happy Fall from the Morrison's!

It's here! Football season has arrived once again. On our drive up to Raleigh last Saturday Brian asked me "what in the world was better than gameday"?!? My immediate response was "nothing!" - I don't know why I didn't think harder about my answer, apparently I was just as thrilled for gameday as he was. We just love our boys in RED. Here are a few photos from the first gameday of 2010:

It's a BOY!

We are on cloud nine after recieving the news last week that we have a HEALTHY, baby BOY on the way. It was a fun surprise, the whole family thought for sure we would be adding another "girl" to the many "girls" we already have in the family. We learned this news at our 3:30pm doctor's appointment on Monday August 23rd, 2010. I don't think Brian or I will ever forget that day, the excitment of finding out together, the joy of calling our grandparents and parents and sharing the news with all of our friends was so special. We celebrated that evening by purchasing a couple of baby boy outfits and having dinner with our parents. I am already in love with the color of "baby blue" and we look forward to the 2nd half of preganancy and preparing for the arrival of our son.

31 days until...

FALL! I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself here, wishing away the summer, but the heat has been horendous this year and I just can't help my eager feelings for my most favorite time of year...FALL. NCSU has its first home football game in 2 weeks and we look forward to tailgates and spending time with friends. Additionlly, Fall means our baby preparations will be in full swing, I can't wait to work on the nursery and prepare for our little one. I'll have to miss out on the Pumpkin Ale this year, but I do look forward to apple cider, evening walks and the changing of the leaves.

It will be fun to see how this photo changes over the next few seasons. This Fall Walker will soon be joined by Leighton and I'll be a little bigger than I was last year :)

Whirlwind Weekend

Dad, Mom, Jordan, Brian and myself had a whirlwind of a weekend. We drove to Atlanta on Friday afternoon for the wedding of a dear family friend of ours (Jack Reed) and drove back to Charlotte Saturday night so that Jordan could move to NC State on Sunday morning. Although the weekend was jam packed, we had fun...

SWEET (mama-to-be) CAROLINE

This past Saturday, August 7 we hosted a baby shower for our dear friend Caroline. We enjoyed every minute of preparing for this party and couldn't be happier to celebrate mama and baby Leighton. This baby girl is going to be blessed, Caroline left the shower with wonderful gifts given by family and friends. We can't wait to meet you Leighton!

Baby "M" update

Above is a 16 week picture of our little one. Pregancy is going well so far, I'm feeling better and better each day! Right now, our baby is about the size of an avocado - although I'm told that he or she will double its weight in the next few weeks. I'm looking forward to the growth spurt that will soon take place, I'm anxious to feel those sweet little baby kicks! Stay tuned for more updates of Baby "M".
