Winter Updates

We wrapped up the month of January with a beach trip to celebrate Daddy's 30th birthday!  It was cold, but we were happy as clams to get out of town for a few days and relax.  It was quiet and peaceful, a nice break from the typical weekly hustle and bustle.

Happy 30th!

February surprised us with about an inch or so of snow - this was special because it is the first time Clark has seen snow!  I'm thankful he was able to watch it fall out the window and then play in it for a little bit the next morning.  He enjoyed making snowballs!

Clark turns 2!

Happy New Year!  With the new year comes a certain little ones birthday.  We celebrated Clark turning  2 with a farm party.  It was a little more "active" with several 2 and 3 year olds running around this year, but Clark enjoyed seeing his family and friends (and let's face it, the red iced cupcake as well).  This age is hard work for sure, but hands down my favorite!  He is silly, talkative, wild, loving, curious and always on the go.  He loves to play "I find dada and I find mama" (hide and seek), he has picked up on our actual names and sometimes calls us "Brian" and "Jennifer" when trying to get our attention, he still loves being outside more than anything, he is transitioning into his big boy bed currently which makes me sad that he is not such a baby anymore.  He tells us he loves us and gives the sweetest "tight hugs" and kisses.  Our hearts are filled with love for this precious little boy.

Christmas Cheer!

We found out on the afternoon of December 11th that we will be adding another BOY to our little family!  It was an exciting day, after a healthy report from the doc we picked up our other little boy and went to pick out a new outfit and celebrate over dinner.  Clark doesn't fully understand baby brother is on the way, but we think he'll be pretty excited to come May 2013!

The remainder of the month we talked about Baby Jesus, visited Santa Claus, spent time with family and friends and simply enjoyed the "most wonderful time of year"!

Thanksgiving and beginnings of December!

Thanksgiving has come and gone, but I still thought I would share a few photos and document our time for our memories.  It was a wonderful few days spent with both sides of our family.  We captured some special photos of Clark and his Great "Daddy-Daddy" and Great Gammy as well as Great Mimi.  The holiday was a nice reminder of all that we have to be thankful for.  We are grateful for the family, friends, good health and love that surround us daily.

 In keeping with tradition, as soon as the turkey was all gone, we pulled out the Christmas decorations and picked out our family Christmas tree.  We also introduced "Elf" this year - Clark enjoys looking for Elf each morning and Brian and I are having fun with some of the magic of Christmas.

Tis' the holiday Season!

We've been enjoying every single second of this Fall season...a quick jaunt to the beach, picking out pumpkins, trick or treating and a wolfpack football game.  Amongst our various adventures, it's really the little things that have brought us happiness during this time of year - cozy socks on a cold night, a warm fire, a cup of apple cider, and a talkative and silly little boy that melts our hearts.  We are thankful  for these sweet blessings!
