18 months!

Clark has become such a BOY these last 6 months.  He turned 1.5 on Sunday!  It was fun sifting back through old photos, he has grown up so much in such little time.  At 18 months he is non-stop and on the go, constantly moving, talking and playing.  He rarely sits still.  Loves to be outside, loves for us to read books to him, loves his pappy (paci) and binky (blanket).  He loves cars, trucks and learning new animal noises.  Loves Stella, loves to dance, loves telling us "nite nite" and "luv you" when he goes to bed.  His most recent babble has been "wher da pappy go" if we can't find his paci.  Loves fruit - peaches and blueberries at the moment.  We love you sweet boy!

I am so glad to hold your hand each day as we continue through this journey!

Sweet Summertime

The title of this post should be "Hot Summertime",  considering the 100 degree temps we've endured lately!  Thank goodness Clark is loving the beach because we've spent a lot of time at the ocean this summer.  The breeze by the shore and refreshing water make the heat more bearable.

Clark is growing so fast, learning new words each day, saying "peeeas" and "dank u", "love you" and "nite nite" - just a few that melt our hearts.  Amongst his sweet smile and new vocabulary, he also knows how to turn on and off the water works and tantrums.  He will be 18 months in a couple weeks - hard to believe.   As the days fly by, we continue to love this little boy more and more.  Here's to soaking in the memories!

5 YEARS!

We celebrated our 5th Anniversary this past weekend - my how time flies when you are having fun, we can hardly believe it was 5 years ago that we said "I do".  What a wonderful 5 years it has been!  We snuck away to the mountains (Asheville) this past Saturday for a night and just had the best time exploring the town and being with each other.  Thank you Mimi and Pops for taking care of Clark!

Took a little hike on "the loop" off the Blue Ridge Parkway

Mother's Day 2012

It is a an honor, privilege and gift to be Clark's mama....and such a blessing that I have a wonderful mother myself to look up to!  We had a wonderful Mother's Day breakfast at home, brunch at my sisters house and then an early dinner with Brian's family.  It was a nice Sunday spending time celebrating all the mama's!

Baa-Berries!

Clark is in love with Strawberries or "Baa-berries" as he calls them.  He also loves Blueberries or "Buu-Berries".  So you can imagine his excitement when we took him to Hall Family Farm last weekend!  He was in high heaven picking those berries.  We thought he had gotten the hang of picking a berry and putting it in the basket because he was doing so well, then he came up with a new game: pick a berry and squeeze it in his hand, pick a berry and squeeze it in his hand.  Needless to say we quickly filled our basket and left the field to go enjoy some slushies!  It was a fun day!
