Thanksgiving 2010 and Happy Birthday Jordan!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Morrison's!

We began our Thursday morning with the 22nd Annual Turkey Trot (a first for our clan). Baby Morrison and I cheered on the runners from the sidelines. It was a great start to Thanksgiving day. We ate lots of yummy food, took a walk on the Greenway and vegged out by the fire for the rest of the day - we were "thankful" to relax and spend time with family! We also celebrated little Jordy's birthday on Thanksgiving this year, it only happens once in a while, but it is fun to all be together and celebrate!

Tis the season everyone!

Showered with lots and lots of love!

I've said it before, but I'll say it again...I'm so thankful for my wonderful family and friends. We were showered with lots and lots of love this past Saturday. Logan, Jan, Aunt Cheryl, Cameron, Jordan and Laura put together a beautiful party for me and baby. It was truly a perfect afternoon and I am so gracious for all their time and energy that went into planning this special day! Thank you, girls! XOXO

A day at Carter Finley (30 weeks and counting)!

Is football season really almost over? Our last home game was held this past Saturday and we had a great tailgate with friends and family. The wolfpack pulled out a big win over Wake Forest! Here are a few weekend photos:

AND a BIG CONGRATS to Leslie and Zack on their engagement! Leslie - we loved being able to see you in person this weekend to do a little celebrating. Best of luck as the planning begins :)

Just the two of us...

This past weekend, we were able to sneak away for a little getaway in the mountains. We have been wanting to take time to spend together "just the two of us" before our little one gets here and so we loaded up the truck and headed to Blowing Rock. We stayed at a quaint little inn off Main Street and enjoyed a fun and relaxing weekend together. It was cold, but we loved every second of it!

Friday night we were greeted with snow! It was so beautiful to see the white flakes coming down.

I sure am glad I have my "Monkeyman Fleece" - its the only jacket that actually fits me these days. It kept me nice and cozy as we strolled Bass Lake with hot cider.

We had the most wonderful meals, walked around town and I even got a prenatal massage (while Brian caught the NCSU/Clemson game). It was heavenly and worth every penny. While it was fun "just the two of us" we look forward to becoming a family of 3!

In the home stretch - 28 weeks

Pretty soon we will have a "little pumpkin" of our very own. I've made it to my third tri-mester and I'm ecstatic! Being pregnant has been a thrill no doubt, but I'm also very anxious to feel like myself again. I can hardly believe tomorrow marks the start of November. I went grocery shopping early this morning and they already had on Christmas music! The holidays are always a favorite time of year for me, but this year will be extra special as we continue to await the arrival of our baby!

Happy Halloween from the Morrison's!

1st Baby Shower

Words cannot express how grateful I am for the friends that I have. Leslie, Alice, Seantel and Caroline held such a wonderful baby shower for me on Saturday. From the food to decor and little special touches in between, it was just lovely. It was such an enjoyable afternoon with friends, grandmother's and aunts "to-be" all present. Thank you to everyone who made the trip and a big thank you to the girls for all their hardwork and for making it such a special day for me and baby!

It's Here! (Nursery Progress-Part 1)

After waiting 9 long weeks, our crib has finally arrived! I've been so excited to put together the crib and have our nursery begin to look like a nursery. It was delivered on Friday afternoon and Brian and I put it together that evening. Now that our walls are painted "baby blue" and the crib frame is screwed together tightly, it is becoming more and more real that soon we will have a little baby boy occupying this room. Stay tuned for Nursery Progress Part 2.
